Come Explore Nearly 1000 Years of History

Christ Church has been described as Ireland’s finest example of eighteenth-century ecclesiastical architecture.  It has one of Ireland’s last surviving consistorial courts, one of its most historically significant organs, the last crystal chandeliers produced by Waterford Crystal before its factory closed, tombs and monuments of antiquarian interest, and a spectacular stucco plasterwork ceiling.  We invite you to explore the stories of its heritage, community, and history.  Visitors may avail of free interpretive guides to the cathedral, which made possible by funding from the Heritage Council.

The cathedral opens its doors to visitors throughout the year.  People of all faiths and none are invited to explore its history, worship with us, and enjoy quiet moments of reflection.  There is no entrance fee, but donations toward the upkeep of this unique cathedral are gratefully received.
