Notable Works and Christ Church Cathedral present an evening of Bach, Mendelsshon and Brahms

Notable Works have been presenting choral music to Waterford audiences since 2017. Alongside our cathedral choir, we are delighted to be collaborating for the first time with Notable Works to provide an uplifting selection of choral music by Bach, Mendolssohn and Brahms.  The Bach works include excerpts from Cantatas BWV 29, 140 (“Wachet auf”) and 147 (Jesu Joy of Man’s desiring).  The Mendelssohn works include excerpts from his famous oratorio, “Elijah”; the selection will finish with Brahms’ “Sacred song” of heavenly calm – “Geistliches Lied”.
