About the event
Established in 2013, SoulSong are a non-profit mixed community choir based in Waterford who take part in various fundraising throughout the City. The choir sing gospel music and a selection of many different songs.
The High Hopes Choir was formed in 2014 by renowned conductor David Brophy, as part of a project in conjunction with RTE to make a documentary highlighting the issue of homelessness. Now known as the WATERFORD High Hopes Choir, their membership is now not exclusively for homeless people, although some of the original members remain, who thankfully now have accommodation. Membership has broadened out to include people with a variety of challenges who come together and recognise the healing power of music. The Waterford High Hopes Choir have performed at various special events including: The Late Late Show, Altogether Now, Electric Picnic and now Christ Church Cathedral!
Join us for this special afternoon of 2 different choirs, sharing a passion for music.
All proceeds for this event go to the upkeep of the Cathedral.
