Welcome to
Christ Church Cathedral

“God is light; In him there is no darkness...”

[1 John 1:5]

Christ Church is the cathedral of the Waterford Union of Parishes, which is an amalgamation of the four parishes of Christ Church Cathedral Parish, Waterford, St. Andrew’s Dunmore East, Christ Church Tramore and St. John the Baptist, Annestown.

Christ Church is a Church of Ireland (Anglican/Episcopalian) Cathedral and has been a place of Christian worship for over 1,000 years. We welcome all visitors to worship with us – be that for one visit, for a special occasion such as a wedding, for a place of quiet contemplation, or to join our community for more regular service and prayer.

What's On

Getting To Know You Concert Series

The series kicks off on Friday September 30th with a special concert featuring Beethoven. "Getting to know you...Beethoven" features Frank McNamara on piano, Nicola Cleary on Violin and Gerald Peregrine on Cello. The music, chosen by Frank McNamara, is an exciting cross-section of Beethoven's lifetime output. Programme includes the Moonlight Piano Sonata, The "Spring" Violin Sonata, Cello Sonata No. 5 and the haunting "Ghost" piano trio. Frank introduces the composers and the music in his inimitable light hearted yet informative style.
